Conveyor Belt Cleaner

Belt Cleaner

A belt cleaner removes material carried beyond the intended discharge point. Its position, blade arrangement and support mechanism should be matched to the belt and chute layout so that removed material returns to a suitable collection area.

  • Confirm dimensions, materials and working conditions
  • Discuss quantity, delivery and documentation requirements
  • Review drawings or a sample where the application requires it

Product details

Unlike primary precleaners, Belt Cleaners accommodate greater levels of tension since the belt is clear of interference from the head pulley.

Features

· Cleaner will remove fines left by a primary scrapper. Usually installed underneath the head pulley inside the discharge chute.

· Supplied with an heavy duty support for a very precise positioning of the blade with the belt.

· The blade is easily replaceable by using a reusable pin.

· Can be installed perpendicularly or diagonally on a reversible conveyor as per your needs.

Application and selection guide

A belt cleaner removes material carried beyond the intended discharge point. Its position, blade arrangement and support mechanism should be matched to the belt and chute layout so that removed material returns to a suitable collection area.

Where this product fits

Describe the material left on the belt and where it accumulates. Identify the existing cleaner location and whether the inquiry concerns a complete system or replacement parts.

Information for a suitable proposal

Provide belt width, discharge arrangement, splice information and mounting clearances. Include material moisture and any current blade wear pattern to support a practical review of the cleaning arrangement.

A belt cleaning arrangement should be considered with the head pulley, chute, belt splice and available mounting space. Provide a sketch or photographs of the discharge area and describe the carryback problem. Belt direction, material moisture and the location where removed material can fall all affect the practical layout.

Installation and maintenance considerations

Inspect blade contact, wear and the adjustment mechanism regularly. Follow the selected cleaner’s instructions and isolate the conveyor before reaching into the cleaning area.

For replacement work, identify the existing cleaner body and blade fixing pattern. Ask the supplier to confirm the compatible blade and adjustment method. A cleaning system needs accessible inspection and controlled contact with the belt; fitting additional pressure without checking alignment, wear or a trapped obstruction can create further problems rather than improving cleaning.
