View detailsConveyor belt cleaners remove carried-back material around the discharge and return arrangement. A practical cleaning system combines the cleaner body, a compatible blade and a suitable mounting location. Selection should consider the handled material, belt and splice, head pulley and the space where removed material can fall back into the discharge collection area.
A primary cleaner operates at the head-pulley discharge area as an initial cleaning stage. Other cleaner arrangements and replacement blades should be identified by their actual position and assembly compatibility. A blade selected only by belt width may not fit the body or suit the installation. Describe the carryback problem and show the current system so the proposed components can be reviewed together. Persistent deposits can also involve chute layout, belt condition and material moisture.
Inspect blade wear, mounting security and the adjustment system according to the selected cleaner’s instructions. Uneven contact should be investigated rather than addressed by adding pressure indiscriminately. During maintenance, check the holder and surrounding components as well as the blade. A cleaning arrangement that can be reached and adjusted properly is easier to maintain than one selected without considering the space around the discharge pulley.
