Application and selection guide
HDRL-A is labelled as a diamond cold bond rubber lagging option with a belt anti-skid focus. Its selection should address the actual slip conditions, pulley surface and belt system rather than treating the product name as a performance guarantee.
Where this product fits
Describe when slipping occurs and whether moisture or fines are present. Include the current covering condition and any recent change in load or belt operating behaviour.
Information for a suitable proposal
Provide pulley dimensions, belt details, existing lagging and the intended installation arrangement. The supplier should review the proposed surface alongside the operating information and other possible causes of slip.
Rubber lagging is selected around pulley duty, surface condition and the operating environment. Describe where the pulley sits in the conveyor and whether moisture, fines or material build-up are present. Pattern, installation method and the condition of the underlying shell should be considered together.
Installation and maintenance considerations
Inspect the patterned surface, bond edges and belt contact area. Recurring slip calls for a system review rather than repeated replacement of the covering alone.
For replacement work, provide pulley face dimensions, existing covering details and photographs of the wear pattern. Bonding surfaces and joint arrangements need to follow the selected installation procedure. Inspect the belt and adjacent cleaning equipment during the same shutdown, because uneven contact or trapped material can quickly damage a newly installed covering.
