Conveyor Roller Set

Self Aligning V- Return Roller Set

A self aligning V-return roller set combines a shaped return support with an aligning mechanism. It should be assessed within the return belt arrangement, with attention to the pivot, guiding contact and surrounding conveyor structure.

  • Confirm dimensions, materials and working conditions
  • Discuss quantity, delivery and documentation requirements
  • Review drawings or a sample where the application requires it

Product details

V-return Roller Sets are employed to positively track the belt on the return side
of the conveyor. They are adjustable and increase the displacement and also the
resulting tracking force on the belt. V-return Roller Sets work on reversing belts,
have no swivels, and are sealed for life ball bearings.

Application:

Mining

Steel mill

Cement plant

Power plant

Chemical Plant

Sea Port

Storage

etc.

Application and selection guide

A self aligning V-return roller set combines a shaped return support with an aligning mechanism. It should be assessed within the return belt arrangement, with attention to the pivot, guiding contact and surrounding conveyor structure.

Where this product fits

Explain the observed return-belt behaviour and identify where the set sits along the conveyor. An aligning assembly should be reviewed alongside the underlying causes of mistracking, including loading, pulley alignment and deposited material.

Information for a suitable proposal

Provide the V arrangement, pivot details, mounting dimensions and nearby belt clearances. Include photographs of both the current support set and the surrounding return strand.

A complete roller set should be selected as an assembly. Record the belt width, roller lengths, trough configuration, mounting centres and overall frame envelope. A replacement drawing should show how the set attaches to the conveyor structure and how surrounding chutes or guards limit access.

Installation and maintenance considerations

Inspect pivots and stops for obstruction or wear. Confirm that the assembly can move as intended without contacting guards or accumulated material.

Tell the supplier whether the set belongs on the carrying strand, return strand or loading zone. Include material characteristics and the current operating problem, if any. During a planned shutdown, inspect the supporting steelwork and adjacent rollers as well as the worn assembly; a new set cannot compensate for a distorted mounting location.
