Product details
The tail pulley is located at the loading end of the belt. It comes with either a flat face or a slatted profile (wing pulley), which cleans the belt by allowing material to fall between the support members.
Application and selection guide
A tail pulley turns the belt at the receiving end of a conveyor. Its design and placement should work with the loading arrangement, return belt approach and any adjustment provided at that end of the conveyor structure.
Where this product fits
Show the tail position relative to the loading chute and nearby return supports. Describe whether fines or other material can collect around the pulley during operation.
Information for a suitable proposal
Provide the shaft, bearing and mounting drawing together with the existing belt information. Identify any sliding or adjustment arrangement and the space available for inspection.
Pulley selection involves the belt, shaft, bearings, mounting arrangement and operating duty together. Provide an assembly drawing showing the face width, shaft geometry, bearing positions and any coupling or locking interface. Describe the belt construction and conveyor position so that the proposed arrangement can be reviewed in context.
Installation and maintenance considerations
Inspect for trapped material, uneven shell wear and damaged bearings. Check the belt approach and surrounding support alignment as part of replacement work.
Include information about the existing surface covering, contamination, access and the reason for replacement. The suitability of a pulley is not established by diameter alone. During installation, alignment, bearing support and belt condition should be checked as a system; inspection and adjustment should follow the equipment supplier’s instructions and the site’s isolation procedure.
