maintain it constantly in central position. In case of belt winding and straying
which will cause belt injury, spillage of handling materials and down time for
adjustment.
It’s of prime importance to make sure that the belt is fully functioning and
free from damage. That’s what a self-aligning carrying Roller Set does. It ensures
that the conveyor belts stay on track, thereby minimizing the chance of severe
belt corruption. Self-aligning carrying Roller Sets are concave in shape and restrain
the belt from running up and over the conveyor. They also reduce the friction
between the Roller Set and belt.

Explain when mistracking occurs: during startup, with uneven loading or continuously. The responsible conveyor team should consider these conditions before selecting or replacing an aligning station.
Information for a suitable proposal
Provide the carrying trough profile, pivot arrangement, mounting dimensions and surrounding clearances. Include photographs showing the belt path before and after the proposed station.
A complete roller set should be selected as an assembly. Record the belt width, roller lengths, trough configuration, mounting centres and overall frame envelope. A replacement drawing should show how the set attaches to the conveyor structure and how surrounding chutes or guards limit access.
Installation and maintenance considerations
Keep pivots and movement paths free from material build-up. Inspect worn contact parts and avoid restricting the mechanism with an incorrectly positioned guard or bracket.
Tell the supplier whether the set belongs on the carrying strand, return strand or loading zone. Include material characteristics and the current operating problem, if any. During a planned shutdown, inspect the supporting steelwork and adjacent rollers as well as the worn assembly; a new set cannot compensate for a distorted mounting location.
